US WELCOME
We extend a warm welcome to our guests from the United States to Dingle Benners Hotel. As Dingle’s oldest hotel with a history dating back to the early 1800’s, you will be assured of a genunine Irish welcome.
The US connection has been long establised, with a group of American investors taking ownership in the early 1980’s. Their refurbishment plan included a bar in the hotel called The Boston Bar. One of the first bookings for the hotel before it reopened in the 80’s was 15 guest rooms from a Judge Joyce and the opening was announced in July 1988 by the US Ambassador to Ireland Margaret Heckler. The hotel is now owned by the local Garvey family and is a sister hotel to the Dingle Skellig Hotel on the shore front.
Dingle Benners Hotel is ideal if you are travelling with a small family group, as a couple or with friends. It is ideal for a genunine Irish experinence in a historic unique hotel. The hotel is also perfectly located for playing golf in one of our wonderful links courses including the 18 hole Ceann Sibeal(Dingle) Golf Club and the 9 hole Castlegregory Golf Course.
Located in the heart of Dingle town centre, framed by its fishing port, the peninsula’s charming little ‘capital’ manages to be quaint without even trying. Many pubs double as stores, so you can enjoy Guinness and a singalong among screws and nails, wellington boots and horseshoes. It has long drawn runaways from across the world, making it a cosmopolitan, creative place. In summer its hilly streets are bustling with visitors; in other seasons its authentic charms are yours for the savouring.
Dingle Benners Hotel is an authentic Irish hotel with 52 guest rooms. With 3 different bedroom types, Classic, Superior and Grand Superior, our Grand Superior Bedrooms are located in the original hotel building overlooking Dingle’s main street. These guest rooms have four poster beds or half tester beds, high ceilings , original features and antique furnishings capture the old world charm of the hotel.
The hotel rests on the most westerly peninsula in Europe overlooking the Atlantic Ocean on the Wild Atlantic Way.
During your vacation, a boat trip departing from Dingle Marina is a must. Dingle Bay was once home to Fungie, Dingle’s most famous personality. He was a bottle nosed dolphin who has made the town his home over 30 years. He disappeared during the pandemic of 2020, as mysteriously as he appeared. Boat trips can also take you to the Great Blasket Island and explore the rich marine life.
