Féile na Bealtaine

Féile na Bealtaine first began in 1994 having been created by Dr Micheál Fanning (RIP) local GP and poet.

The festival occurs annually throughout the Peninsula each May Bank Holiday weekend. It has established itself as one of the most popular voluntary community events in the county.

Féile na Bealtaine upholds a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere, inviting individuals who share a connection with the region to share in its artistic offerings.

The festival embraces the spirit of innovation by encouraging contributions to push their limits of creativity and engage in collaborative endeavours.

The weekend sees an array of day and night time events taking place as well as workshops and events in Art, Comedy, Drama, Literature, Music, Spoken word as well as Fringe and Kids events.
