48 HOURS IN DINGLE FOR OUTDOOR LOVERS
DAY 1
Morning
Rise early to a hearty breakfast and set off for your climb of the awe inspiring Mount Brandon. Choose from 2 start points – Baille Breac, 6 miles North West of Dingle town, which is a moderate climb taking approx 3-4 hours up and down, or from Faha near the village of Cloghane which is a more strenuous route taking 4 – 5 hours approx.
Evening
Sit back and enjoy an evening mini Eco boat tour outside of Dingle harbour. This 2 hour tour will showcase our amazing coastline and local marine life including dolphins, whales, seals and puffins. You will leave from Dingle Marina, a short walk from the hotel, and travel out from Dingle Bay, which was once home to the famous dolphin Fungie who mysteriously disappeared in the Summer of 2020. DAY 2
Morning
Early the next morning set off for west of Dingle town to take a trip to the Great Blasket Island. The ferry departs 4 times a day from Dunquin pier with trips taking place from Easter to September each year. The crossing is 20mins and once landed you can explore the island with a tour from an OPW guide. Early booking is advisable and you can book your trip here.
Evening
Experience a Sunset Kayak in one of the most beautiful settings in Ireland. Running each year from March to October and departing from Dingle marina, a short stroll from the hotel. An evening sunset kayak with Irish Adventures will be an experience to remember. Taking approx 3 hours, you will experience the peaceful waters of Dingle bay and visit the sea caves and stunning coastline by kayak. Click here for booking details.
